For Sale is a Drawing by W. Hatherell, R.I. from a sketch by D. Waters, removed from "The Graphic, August 18th, 1900," showing "Jack and his Pets :  A Sketch at the Naval Manoeuvres."
Size of Drawing- 22.5cm. x 15.5cm.

Soldiers are notoriously fond of making pets of animals, and it would seem that sailors also possess this amiable trait.  Our Special Artist with the "A" Fleet in the Naval Manoeuvres, in sending the sketch from which our illustration was drawn, says that the rabbits - the pets in question - were kept under the after conning tower, and tended with the greatest care.
