Once Upon a Time there was a Big Giant. 1878.

For Sale is a Double Page removed from "The Pictorial World, December 21st, 1878," showing the Following Colour Illustrated Short Story called "Once Upon a Time there was a Big Giant."

1- Once Upon a Time there was a Big Giant
2- And whenever he got out of provisions he threw his Glove down at the King's door. He did this on Christmas Eve.
3- So the King, The Prime Minister and the Court fool held a consultation-  The Fool proposed to invite him to dinner on Christmas.
4- The Prime Minister wrote a Letter to the Giant.
5- The Giant was so delighted_That he shook hands  with the Fool, but it made him Howl.
6- The Prime Minister and the Fool had a Hard time in driving the Giant over to the King's Palace.
7- The Giant would eat nothing but sweetmeats, jellies and Fancy things.
8- After he had eaten all the King's preserves he was taken with a tremendous Colic.
9- They gave him lots of medicine but he died.
10- So by this time they were awful hungry and The Fool Sounded the Gong for Dinner.

Condition is Good, with a Tape repair to the bottom middle of the Page.
