 No, no, my dears, don't growl or run,
 I can't fight dogs of that mean size ;

He'll do no harm, and there's no fun
In chasing one whom you despise.

"Quack ! quack !" what's all this noise i hear
In the farmyard ?   Just let me see.

That cur's a thief, and now, oh ! dear,
The ducks no more will trust to me !
