In your bonnet and your muffin all trimmed with fur ?
My father's gone-I've got to wait for him ;
And your mother's gone- you've got to wait for her.

"She's gone to buy a ticket for the train,
He's gone to buy a paper at the stall.
It won't be long before they're back again,
So you needn't look so gloomy after all.

"I've a guinea-pig, a bunny, and a swing, 
I've got a little sister just like you.
Now, talk to me-just tell me anything ;
I'll let you bite my apple if you do !"
