Clumber, near Worksop, Nottinghamshire, where the Grove met when these pictures were taken, is the seat of the Newcastle family and is now occupied by the Earl of Lincoln, the Duke's son and heir, seen in one of these pictures with Mr. Murray Walker.  The Grove country was founded in 1827 by the famous George Savile Foljambe, the breeder of many a great hound whose name still lives in fox-hunting history-Herald (1835) for one.  Albion (1840) for another, contemporary, more or less, with Drake's Duster (1844) and Brocklesby Rallywood (1843), etc., etc.  This little bit of history will appeal, perhaps to Colonel Branson, who has hunted with the Grove for over sixty-five seasons, and to Mr. Sydney Hall, who has had fifty-five years of it.  Lord Galway's family connection with the hunt is also a lengthy one.  Both the 6th and 7th Viscounts were Masters ; the present peer is the 8th.  Lady Galway, with their only son, the Hon. Simon Monckton-Arundell, is seen in one of the pictures.  Major L. B. Holliday, who hunts hounds himself and makes a jolly good job of it, took on in 1932 from Sir Albert Bingham and the Hon. Charles Fitzroy.
