Lord Baden-Powell, who at the time of writing is lying seriously ill in a London hospital, can be regarded, quite apart from his military achievements, as one of the few real benefactors of humanity.  The boy Scout movement which he founded, with its principles of service, unselfishness, loyalty, and efficiency, has spread all over the world, and is a veritable bulwark against the spreading forces of disruption, anarchy, and unrest.  It is a world-wide hope that by the time this paper is published "The Chief Scout" may be well on the way to complete recovery.
