"Brewster's Millions," at the Hicks Theatre. 1907.

   1- Montgomery Brewster (Mr. Gerald du Maurier) has at the end of the year just spent his quarter of a million and so brough himself to that penniless condition which alone will entitle him to inherit the larger legacy of two Million pounds. He is therefore dreadfully alarmed to find that an actress whom he has benefited (Miss Kitty Melrose), having succeeded in her profession, is now gratefully returning him a sum of £5,000. Brewster (excitedly) : "It's not mine!"
   2- Mrs. Dan de Mille (Miss Molly Lowell), friend to Brewster, and "Peggy"  Gray (Miss Beatrice Agnew) in love with Brewster.
   3-Brewster, in his frantic endeavours to spend £250.000 in a year, telephones a bet of £200 on a rank outsider, which to his horror wins.
   4- Brewster-although thought had by his friends-commands his captain to sail for a port where he sees a way to spend most of hismoney.  The raging storm in this scene rocks the actors and ship about realistically.
   5- Love afloat.- The new-woman (authorities, athlete, &c.)(Miss Evelyn D' Alroy), surrenders her spinster freedom to the fascinations of Archie (Mr. Louis Goodrich).
