It is reported that the Germans are now bringing into action their heaviest Guns against the French position at Verdun. In this case, as in many others, they will find the French fully prepared.  The huge weapon depicted here was built by Creusot in answer to the Huns' 28-cm. howitzers, and presents many advantages over the Krupp model, particularly in its greater mobility-a most important point in a great Gun-and its adoption of the tank platform, obviating the week's delay while the concrete sets.
