   b- The poverty-stricken toymaker, Caleb Plummer (Mr. Arthur Bourchier), with his soul in his art, painting his horses "as near to natur as i can for sixpence."
   c- The toymaker is afraid that the flies may get at the small contribution to the Christmas feast made by the grim task-master, Tackleton (of Gruff and Tackleton).
