A wound received by the revolutionary Capt. Harry Peyton (Mr. Lewis Waller) has caused him to become the prisoner of the loyal Miss Elizabeth (Miss Grace Lane).  When she is about to give him up to execution by the King's troops, he saves his life by affecting a sudden passion for her.  She now, having discovered, to her indignation, the false nature of his vows, has used all her charms to bring him to her feet, merely to suddenly turn and reject him with scorn.
