Deborah Krillet is the young wife of a Boer farmer of advanced years, who reads his Bible so literally that disobedience on his wife's part is only to be answered by the sjambok treatment.  One of our pictures shows this unhappy girl swearing on the "Book" never again to see Robert Waring, an Englishman whose presence had somewhat relieved her misery.

Condition is Very Good.
