A Lady Cyclist's Tribulations : The Story of a Ride and a Tramp. 1900.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Graphic, September 29th, 1900," showing an Illustrated Story showing drawings by W. Ralston from a sketch by Arthur M. Horwood, called "A Lady Cyclist's Tribulations," the Story of a Ride and a Tramp.

One day whilst cycling on the grass, by the roadside - i, rather carelessly, rode over a tramp - who groaned heavily & then fell back, pretending to faint (i will never wear a veil again when riding) - when he came too (?) i offered my scent bottle - also the contents of my purse -  then he asked me to take his hat and get him some water from a pond he said was over the style - i could'nt find a pond - and went back to tell him so, but oh the ruffian! he was careering away on my bycycle - Running after him until exhausted, i sat down & wept, but was finally rescued & taken home by a gallant police patrol.- nb. The reward is still offered.
