For Sale is a part Page removed from "The Graphic, June 23rd, 1900," showing the Following Two Photographs from "The Ascot Gold Cup."

   a- The Race for the Gold Cup at Ascot :  The Finish.
"Mr. Jersey's" Merman, the winner of the Ascot Gold Cup, which started at 100-7 against (offered), won by two lengths from Scintillant, which had the same place in the betting, while The Grafter, against which the betting was 100-8, was a bad third.  The favourite, Perth II., the betting with regard to which was 4 to 1 on, was fourth.

   b- The Winner of the Ascot Gold Cup.
"Mr. Jersey's" Merman, which won the Ascot Gold Cup, was ridden by J. Sloan.  Our illustration is from a photograph taken after the weighing in.
