Baralong Natives in the Stadt at Mafeking Scared by a Shell. 1900.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Graphic, June 9th, 1900," showing a Drawing by Georges Scott  called "Baralong Natives in the Stadt at Mafeking Scared by a Shell."

The Boers persistently shelled the stadt of the Baralongs at Mafeking, and though the natives were in the main reckless about, and almost indifferent to, shell-fire, the women and children, when going to wash at the river, or to draw supplies, occasionally had nasty scares.  It was in consequence of their stadt being shelled that some of the Baralongs rose in arms and instituted reprisals.
