For Sale is a Photograph removed from "The Sphere, October 12th, 1901," showing "A Strange Sight in the South of France."
The Famous Landes Shepherds of the South of France employ stilts to get about more easily over the loose, shifting sands of the dunes.  A third pole enables them to form a tripod, thus permitting them to remain for a long time on the stilts.
