The play, which is being performed in the afternoons at Mr. Bourchier's theatre, is an adaptation by Mr. Rutland Barrington of two Dumpy Books with the music by various composers, including Mrs. Langtry's daughter.  Little White Barbara (Miss Iris Hawkins) is a spoilt child, for whom Dr. Funnyman (Mr. Leonard Calvert) is called in.  He prescribes the necessity for laughter and invents many ways of creating it, including the making of Plantagenet, the black servant (Mr. Webb Darleigh), "play horses" with the little girl.  This picture represents the "horse" pulling the carriage over, much to the delight of the little maid.
