1- Gerald John Mordaunt.
A YOUNGER member of a brotherhood of Cricketers, G. J. MORDAUNT is certainly not the worst all-round player.  A very successful Captaincy at Wellington College was an excellent training for the still more responsible position he holds this year as Captain of the Oxford Eleven.  He is a batsman, very much above the average, with a taking and commanding style.  With height on his side, he gets well over the ball, and as he can hit all round the wicket, is very dangerous when fairly in.  Last year he was the most successful batsman at Oxford, with an excellent average of nearly forty-two runs for fifteen completed innings.  A capital field in addition.  Represented Wellington College in the Public Schools' Racquet Matches, and Oxford at Rugby Union Football.

2- Charles William Wright.
KNOWN to his friends familiarly as "CHARLES,"  C. W. WRIGHT is very popular among Cricketers of all classes, the reason easily found in his many merits as a sportsman.  Educated at Charterhouse School and Cambridge, his record as a batsman, during the four years he played for his University, was exceptionally good, equal on the whole, indeed, to the very best of his predecessors.  Though he has played for some years for Notts, he was, perhaps, seen to the greater advantage last season, particularly in August, when he played several really good innings.  An excellent wicket keeper, both at Charterhouse and Cambridge, he has been of use in that position for Notts occasionally.  A steady bat as a rule, but can play freely as well, as he showed last August for Notts against Surrey at the Oval.  Captains the Notts Eleven occasionally in the absence of J. A. DIXON.

Condition is Very Good.
