1- Francis Gilbert Justice Ford. 
A GOOD all-round Cricketer would hardly be adequate praise to represent the vatied merits of F. G. J. FORD, or "ALPHABET FORD," as in common with some of his other brothers, equally rich in initials, to give him the nickname by which he is not unfrequently known.  Repton, Cambridge, and Middlesex have each in turn proved his infinate variety as a CRicketer.  A left-handed batsman as well as bowler, he has mase a name in both departments.  Like his other brothers, some inches over six feet, he has like them been distinguished as a fast scorer.  A hitter of the most pronounced type, he has done some fine performances latterly for Middlesex, as well as last winter to Mr. STODDART'S Team in Australia.  As a medium pace bowler has been very successful.  Kept goal at Association Football with some success.
