The Otter of our picture, which is, of course, not the familiar pike lure, but the much contemned implement of the trout poacher, is a specially constructed floatin thing, moving over the water much on the same principle as a Kite in the air.  To the long string, by which the Otter is manipulated from the bank, droppers are attached at short distances all along, so that the surface for a considerable distance is covered while the float is worked.

Condition is Very Good.
