At Barnham and Bailey's show at Olympia, one of the most popular events is the chariot race. First there is a race for four-horse chariots, driven by men ; and then follows one for two-horse chariots, with lady drivers.  Finally, the winners of the two races are matched against each other.  The ladies drive so skilfully that they often succeed in winning the race.
