For Sale is a Full Page taken from "The Bystander, July 24th, 1907," called "A Practical Use for Pageants : Historical Tableaux to Decorate Ancestral Homes !", showing the Following Two Half Page Photographs.

       a- Scene from Act 3 of "Henry VI." (From the Bury Pageant) produced in front of Hengrave Hall, Bury St. Edmunds
       b- In the Courtyard of Hengrave Hall ; Gloucester's dead body is laid before Henry, Warwick denouncing his murderers.

Probably the first practical use of the Pageant craze is shown in the above photographs, in which Tableaux, stationed at divers points outside an historic mansion, have been utilised as a decorative adjunct to architecture. The enthusiast who has exploited the idea is Mr. Y. Wood of Hengrave Hall, Bury St. Edmunds.  The Pageant at that ancient centre being handy, Mr. Wood engaged the participants in two of the Tableaux to present a "Living Picture" in front of, and in one of the most picturesque corners of, his beautiful home.
