La Patrie, the French military airship, has drawn upon it the eyes of the whole world as a result of its brilliant manoeuvring.  Recently, it made eighteen miles an hour against the wind, while, at the great Longchamp review, it manoeuvred over the heads of the crowd in a truly astonishing fashion.  The German Government is said to be seriously concerned at the threatened French dominion of the air, and its secret agents have offered £50,000 to Messrs. Lebaudy for an airship on La Patrie lines, an offer which was promptly refused.
