For Sale is a Full Page Drawing taken from "The Sphere, August 15th, 1903," showing "The Election of Pope Pius X. : Ratifying his Elevation."

In this picture the Pope is seen enthroned immediately after election. The Dean of the Sacred College has conducted the Necessary formula of acceptance and now the Pope is about to avow his fidelity to the Church of Peter. There is placed before him by the dean a book of the Gospels so that he may render this act with all the dignity and solemnity of the ancient form.
