Cruft's Dog Show brought together something like 3,400 dogs at the Agricultural Hall last week, including 325 spaniels, 302 fox terriers, 270 bulldogs, and 204 collies, the total value being £17,000. The dogs shown here were all winners of first prizes or championships. A notable feature of the show was the number of successful women dogowners in almost all classes. Bedlington terriers were an unusually good exhibit, but with regard to fox terriers a critic points out that there was a great falling off in good legs and feet. Curly-coated retrievers seem to be diminishing in favour, but the toy classes are yearly becoming more popular.
