The Splendour of "Antony and Cleopatra" at His Majesty's Theatre. 1907

For Sale is a Full Page taken from "The Sphere," January 12th, 1907, showing a drawing by C.A. Buchel, called "The Splendour of "Antony and Cleopatra" at His Majesty's Theatre." 

Mr. Tree has produced "Antony and Cleopatra" on the most elaborate pictorial lines, which give the spectator a most vivid image of Rome, Athens, and ancient Egypt - the last dominating the tragedy. In this picture we see Antony (Mr. Tree) and Cleopatra (Miss Collier). This scene occurs at the very beginning of the play, showing Antony and Cleopatra's first entrance. She asks him, "If it be love indeed, tell me how much ?" and he answers, "There's beggary in the love that can be reckoned"
