For Sale is a Full Page Drawing taken from "The Sphere," May 11th, 1901, showing a Drawing by Carton Moore Park called "Bears, Tigers, Lions, and Boarhounds. - Herr Sawade's Performance at the Hippodrome."

Sawade's troupe of animals which are enclosed in the ring by steel bars and a net overhead, consists of four Bengal Tigers, two Lions, three very rare Himalayan black Bears, two Polar Bears, and two German Boarhounds. It took Sawade five years to bring them to their present educated state. Sawade was born at Frankfort, lived fifteen years in Hamburg, and is thirty-one years old. Prior to this show he performed with Elephants and Lions, Ponies and Tigers, and other singular combinations. He has travelled the world from St. Petersburg to Chicago. A veritable Sandow, he carries a 400 lb, Lion round the arena, yet he believes himself to be constitutionally weak. He once performed at the Crystal Palace with two Elephants, two Ponies, and two Boarhounds. When on the continent he performs with thirty-three animals in his own gigantic cage. He was originally with Carl Hagenbeck's zoological emporium at Hamburg. Seeth, by the way, graduated in the same school, at the Thierpark, Hamburg.
