The Kaiser and the Little English Boy - A Reminiscence of Cowes. 1901

For Sale is a Full Page drawing by Sidney Paget taken from "The Sphere," March 2nd. 1901, called "The Kaiser and the Little English Boy - A Reminiscence of Cowes."

The charming incident shown here was witnessed by our artist, Mr. Paget, at Cowes on the day before the Queen's funeral. The German Emperor and King Edward, steaming in a pinnace to the yacht "Hohenzollern" in the afternoon, encountered a boat in which was seated a little English boy and his father. The boy, at the suggestion of his father, lifted his cap to King Edward, who in turn gravely saluted the little chap and directed the attention of the Kaiser to the boy. The Kaiser turned round and watched the boy for a long time after the pinnace had passed.
