For Sale is a Full Page from "The Sphere," March 11th 1905, showing a Print drawn by Victor Prout called "The Companionship of the Bath," showing "Mixed Bathing at Kennington."

Mixed bathing on novel lines has been introduced by the Kennington Mixed Swimming Club. The club meets at the Newington Public Baths (belonging to the Southwark Borough Council) every Thursday 8.30 to 9.30. No member is allowed to come in without being accompanied by a member of the opposite sex ; that is to say, the swimmers are aquainted with each other in pairs.  The colours of the club are black and gold.
